One hour of attended at a program is equal to one continuing education unit (1 CEU). The 20 CEU's must be obtained between February 1st of the first year and January 31st of the second year of the renewal period. (e.g. for the January 31, 2003 renewal, 20 CEU's must be obtained between 2/1/01 and 1/31/03)

To renew your license in 2003, you will need to submit proof of compliance with the Board's continuing education regulation. The regulation state that:

    2. Not more than 4 hours of instruction directly relating to managerial aspects of the practice of fitting hearing aids, including:

      1. Good business principles, and

      2. Customer management principles.

If an applicant for renewal was licensed in an even-numbered year, the applicant shall have completed a total of 10 hours at the applicant's first renewal with no less than 8 hours of instruction directly relating to the practice of fitting hearing aids and no more than 2 hours of instruction directly relating to managerial aspects of the practice of fitting hearing aids.

    2. All continuing education records must be maintained by the licensee for four (4) years after the renewal is completed.
    3. All licensees must submit documentation of continuing education with their renewal.
